The Malta Film Commission is proud to announce the winners of the Malta Create Short Film Fund, revealed during the 1st Golden Bee
Awards, part of the Mediterrane Film Festival.
The competition attracted an overwhelming response, with a total of 26 applications from aspiring filmmakers across Malta. After a rigorous selection
process, the field was narrowed down to the top 10 finalists. These talented individuals participated in two days of intensive pitching sessions and
workshops, refining their artistic visions and showcasing their creativity.
The winners were chosen by a distinguished panel of judges, including James Nunn, Holly El, Tommy Boulding, and Patrick Fischer. These industry experts brought their extensive knowledge and experience to the selection process, ensuring a fair and comprehensive evaluation of the submissions.
After careful consideration, the group Dyferent, consisting of Dylan Odom, Maria Grech, and Adam Farag, emerged as the outstanding victors. Their
submission captivated the judges, demonstrating their creativity, passion, and exceptional filmmaking skills.
The Malta Create Short Film Fund provides a total budget of €100,000 to the winning project. This substantial funding allows them to bring their artistic vision to life and further develop their careers in the film industry.
