More than 33,000 individuals participated in ‘Ġurnata ma’ tal-Films’ in Kalkara. This event, organized yesterday by Screen Malta, provided a unique and educational experience for families.
A key highlight was the Gladiator movie set, demonstrating the exceptional talents and craftsmanship of Maltese and Gozitan workers.
Furthermore, the event showcased an array of interactive exhibitions relevant to the cinematic industry, along with activities that highlighted the art of movie production.
Attendees were afforded the opportunity to acquire knowledge on various aspects of movie production, including special effects, stunt coordination, costume design and underwater filming.
Minister for Tourism and Public Cleansing, Clayton Bartolo, commented on Malta’s growing film industry. He stated, “We are dedicated to creating more career opportunities where current and future generations can find better job prospects. High-quality work with competitive salaries at all levels significantly improves our people’s living standards,” Minister Clayton Bartolo emphasized.
Film Commissioner Johann Grech expressed his satisfaction with the enthusiastic response from Maltese and Gozitan communities to the invitation, allowing them to closely observe the labor and creative expertise within the film industry. He was delighted with the event’s tremendous success, enjoyed by children, young people, and families alike.
